My husband & I both quit our jobs in CA back in July 2008, to work together at a company outside of the US, for what we hoped would be an increase to our pay (much of which was to based on bonus or commission). In part due to the economy and other circumstances beyond our control, no bonus or commissions are currently available, leaving us with a base pay insufficient to live on. We are considering moving back to CA to search for jobs. In this type of situation, are we likely or not likely to be eligible for unemployment after moving back to CA and while we search for work? Thanks.
