I recently went out on short term disability. My employer sent an Authorization to Obtain and Release Information for me to sign. It requests carte blanche access to my medical records and financial records including tax returns. I crossed out and initialed the section regarding access to my financial records. I also specified (and initialed) that they can only access my medical records from the date of the disability forward. Will my employer's disability unit give me any "push back" on this and is my position valid? Thank you.
