I got let go when I was in evening school part time. I started collecting unemployment then..
But this year I took some more classes online. As per univ it is full time.
But I am actively looking for work and school would not hold me from accepting a job offer as the class is in evening and some online. Is this a violation of unemployment law?
If I am full time for winter and then in summer I go back to part time school, can I collect unemployment?
When you asked the unemployment office this question, what did they say?

They said no about collecting unemployment when you are studying full time.
But what happens if I am full time in winter and then in summer I am part time.
Can I collect unemployment in summer?

If you're only working 6 months out of the year, you're likely not going to financially qualify.

Do NOT listen to CBG. He/she is reading from HR monthly.
How many times have you heard someone being denied on their first claim and they refile and the claim is accepted?
Okay, now I am starting to get annoyed.
Where did I tell the poster anything? All I did was ask him a question. It was the UI office who told him no.
Nor was I the responder who told him he would not qualify financially if he only claimed it for part of the year. However, that answer is likely correct. If he was going to school full time, what contributions are being made on his behalf? With what funds is the UI office supposed to pay him if they've received no contributions?
Sure, denials get overturned. But not when there is no money in the account under the claimant's name.

Glad to hear that you are getting annoyed. Perhaps now you finally will put some thought into your responses.
I have read enough of your posts to know that when you ask "When you asked the unemployment office this question, what did they say?" and the response was "They said no about collecting unemployment when you are studying full time." that your next post would have "Well, if that is what they said then the answer must be no".
In fact, this person needs to push the issue a bit and not take no for answer and be creative on "full time" means.
Read your posts......all of them are very robotic in nature.
So you're the one with the crystal ball these days. You know what people's answers are before they even provide them. Once again, I'm not the one who said anything of the kind.
But.
If the claimant has not been working and has no money in the account, all the creative pushing in the world is not going to convince the state to provide benefits.
Your account was suspended temporarily, not banned, not because you disagreed with me but because disparaging the other posters, even me, is not allowed. Talk civilly and you can stay; don't and I can suspend or ban your other accounts as fast as you can create them. Ask your buddy Joe.
If that's how you see it, fine. That's not how I see it. And I'm not going to have this conversation on line.
