I work at a large used car dealership where we are paid hourly and work 50 hours a week. We are not paid overtime.

Apparently PA law exempts auto mechanics from OT. I am wondering if this law applies to all mechanics at car dealerships in PA. Also, why was this law created? Is there any way to get my employer to pay OT?

It's federal law and, to my knowledge, PA does not have any law that would invalidate this exception.
