Hi -- I work for a small New Hampshire firm -- 3 employees. I am pregnant. Am I entitled to time off during the day to attend doctor appts? if I am feeling sick? How much time am I allowed off once I have my baby. Are there any state laws or federal laws that I can look at?

thanks

Before looking for laws you may not need. FMLA will not likely apply. What does your employer say about time off and return to work?

thanks for your quick response.
i wrote the question "wrong" - I tried to write it as the employee -- however, I am the employer -- I apologize for the mistake let's try this again . have been extremely flexible in allowing my employee to attend to dr's appts, leave early if feeling tired or sick, etc... my big question is what legal requirements i have for length of leave. NH has a state statute regarding employers with more than six employees but I am a micro-employer -- only 3 employees. thanks again for any help.

There are no Federal or NH state laws requiring any particular length of time off for pregnancy/maternity if you have under 6 employees.
