Hi, I work for (large chain that has recently announced bankrupcy) and we will be doing a massive workforce layoff . We are letting go 34,000 workers. They gave us a 60 day notice. We were told that if the liquidators were to dismiss us before those 60 days, we would get paid for the remainder of the 60 days. I've been hearing different stories from other (same chain) stores. I've been hearing that only certain stores may only qualify(doesn't matter what your state laws say apparently) for the 60 day warn act. Is this true??? Also does the act applies for part time workers. I worked there for 3 1/2 years.

I do not know IL law, but you might want to look at the federal law on this subject. IL rules cannot be any worse then the federal rules.
