I have been employed by the same employer for five years tomorrow. I was promoted in May 2006 to manager of one of the locations and remained manager for 2 1/2 years until I was demoted on December 22, 2008.

In the last year, the owner never called, emailed, tried to get in contact with me nor stopped the location to talk to me about my performance and how the location is supposed to grow. By him not doing that, I thought I was doing my job.

When I went in to work on Monday, December 22nd, the general manager told me that I was demoted. The way he told me was very negative. In fact, I quit that day. Later that day, the owner sent me an email asking me to come back. I emailed him back and said yes, I will come back, but not as a manager. Instead, I am going back and forth between two locations, three days at one and three days at another.

In the last three weeks I have been working very hard trying to keep myself composed and do what I am supposed to do. The new manager that took my place has known the owner for the last 20 years.

On Thursday, January 8, 2009, the new manager faxed over two schedules of classes; one was the current schedule and the other was a revised schedule that I came up with a few months ago, by the way, I never showed to the owner. Later that day, I was checking the email to see if the owner responded to the faxed schedule and he did. What I read blew me away. I was shocked. Part of the email read, take a look at X's schedule. By the way, I already told the dumb ***** "NO" to this schedule when she offered it up the last time. By this statement, I know he was talking about me because I am the only female working at that location that can access the email account.

I am not sure why I am a target all of a sudden. For the last three weeks, I have been a target to the owner and his general manager. I ahve never been treated like this in my life. The owner has made many mistakes in the past to his current and ex employees but no one never did anything about it.

I believe that I have wrongfully demoted, discriminated against; gender and racially and I do believe that this is a lawsuit. I want to get other people's opinion about this.

Thanks

Nothing you have posted supports your theory. There is NOTHING in your post to suggest racial discrimination, and a single epithet that was not even made to you personally is not enough to hang a gender discrimination claim on.
