Washington state I need to know what the max amount of hours per day you can be forced to work? Also the max amount of days in a row and max amount of hours in that amount of day. Recently I was made to work 8 days in a row. Also in that 8 days I worked 630am-2pm , 6am-4pm , 6am-4pm , 6am-430pm , 6am-430pm , 7am-5pm, 2pm-11pm and then 9am-3pm. Isn't there a law against that? Help in Washington

There are a few statutes that specify a maximum number of work hours permitted each day (such as with certain job classifications, such as truck driver, or with persons who are under a certain age, such as persons under the age of 16). Outside of those exceptions, federal and state statutes do not usually specify a maximum.
Preventing the abuse of employees usually occurs through overtime laws. The federal overtime law requires overtime for hours worked over 40 in a week. Several states have additional statutes that provides for additional overtime, such as overtime requirements for hours worked over 8 in a day OR double time for hours worked over 12 in a day, etc. Where are you located?
