How fast does the DLSE resolve wage claims?
I submitted my claim for company X about 6 weeks ago. I have my appointment at the end of January to meet with them to discuss the issue, present my evidence and try to resolve the problem of unpaid commission.
What can I expect time wise, and what happens after the appointment if it isn't settled in the meeting?
Also, does everything have to be done in person? I'm moving and won't be able to go back to the county for quite some time. Yes, I could ask them but I would like to hear personal experiences first. Talking on the phone gives me a headache.
Sorry if this post starts another "war" - I'm asking a legitimate question (again) and I would like to think that this forum is here for a purpose. I ask so many questions because I'm in the middle of a few different legal disputes that I would like to have end as soon as possible. Sure, I have an attorney but I want to make sure I'm not being ripped off. His advice is solid, but he is only one man and although he has a lot of solid experience, again, he is only one man with one view of the world, and his opinions and experiences may differ greatly from that of other people.
Nothing can be a valuable substitute for personal experience.
