Hi my name is Rob.My family and I signed a lease which we believed to be legal at the time of signing back in July 2008.Two months ago we received a 3 day eviction notice from a mortgage company saying that our landlord did not own said premises.We have been paying a monthly rent to said landlord for 6 months now and we are just finding out that she does not even own this property and we have been making payments to her with the understanding she was the property owner.The papers we received stated that said property was under foreclosure as far back as January of 2008.If I am not mistaken she and the condo manager who showed us the apartment and worked with us on our lease committed fraud by issuing us a lease for said premises.I want to know if anything what can we do about the money's that we have paid to her and if we have to evict from said premises?
