hello. this is my first time posting.
my girlfriend works for a (deleted) contractor who has had a lot of his contracts cut back with the restructuring of the company. he has laid off most of his staff in the past month.
however, for the past few months, he has been paying his employees sporadically (if at all) and even if they haven't gotten paid for two or three weeks, their next paycheck will only be for a week's work. and now he is cutting her salary. my girlfriend manages one of his locations and he probably owes her about $7k (if not more) at this point.
he is basically doing this because he knows the job market sucks and those that are left are holding on with the small chance of ever getting their money back.
what action can my girlfriend (and those who are left as well as those who have been terminated- also without full compensation for hours worked) take against the employer?
