I resently gave notice and quit my job to take a new position with another company.
I was paid salary, commission and a monthly bonus. The pay cycle ended on the 9 and 26 and we received our checks on the 15 and 30 of each month. When I received my last salary check it was prorated and short $800.00 dollars although I worked until the 10th of the month and when I asked about it I was told it was prorated because I did not work until the 15th although the pay cycle ended on the 9th. Makes no sense?
The second issue is since I worked 10 months of the year I should have received a prorated vacation pay reflecting the vacation time from Jan 08 - Oct 08 and did not. The company does not have a policy stating you must work the complete year to receive any of your accured vacation days either.
The third issue is when they paid me my commission owed they paid me commission thru the 10 of the month but then took the whole months expenses and just divided them by 1/3 and did not prorate my bonus at all. If they where going to prorate the commission one way then the expenses should have been handled in the same manor.
Is there anything that can be done about this?
