I have been a Texas teacher for 19 years. I recently asked for a LOA for personal reasons. My Superintendent said that they could not ask the board for a LOA for the personal reasons I had stated. They (Superintendent) then stated that I must resign. My question is.....under these circumstances....do I have a unemployment claim. Since I was "strong armed" into resigning.

Problem is you resigned. This in most cases disqualifies you for UI. However file anyways if denied file appeal
