i have just recieved a notice today that the house we have been renting is being sold at a sheriff sale jan 7th, it has been in foreclosure since sept 12th. does anyone know my rights as far paying rent anymore since the landlord doesnt own the house anymore, also i believe the lease isnt valid either. and when we would have to move also i doubt i will get my security deposit back. this guy has been lying to us for quite awhile we recieved a notice back in aug that this was going on and he said not too worry it was taken care of obviously he was lying to us he never did anything except keep our money please help i cant find any info anywhere on the matter we also have a child living with us thanks very much

The lease ends when the house is sold. Your one hope is that the new owner wants the same tenants.
