my wife recently quit a salon after 4 months because of problems with an inexperienced owner (long story but ill get to the issues at hand!) she says that the company had ordered personal business cards for them which she later found out was taken from her paycheck. she did not authorize or sign for anything approving for them. my wife says that she is supposed to get a % of her product sales which the owner says is for classes (salon related) and equipment and supplies for the employee. my wife has never used either. last but not least, her pay was recently docked because the owner said that they had made a mistake and over paid her in a previous check. my wife was unaware of the over pay. now we are trying to get receipts for the business cards, a copy of her time card as well as the product sales and the owner is duckin and dodgin as if she has something to hide, not returning calls and not accepting calls either. what can she do?

She can file a complaint with the Texas Workforce Commission.
