Actually two questions.
Occasionally (due to an employee failing to punch in or out) hours are missed on an employees check. We usually ask the employee if it would be OK if the missing hours would be added to the next pay period. (They are paid weekly) If it's not ok with the employee we will cut them a check that day. If they agree, is it OK to correct the mistake the following week?
The second question is related to the first. I know in Pennsylvania you must receive your final paycheck no later than the regularly scheduled payday for the pay period in which your last day worked occurred. Again, what if hours were missed because the employee failed to punch in or out. Do we need to correct it immediately or if the employee agrees to wait until the next pay period is it legal?
