my son was working at a place where we live. and he got mixed up with some drinking underage tickets and is now doing 3 months for the tickets. he still has one check coming from his employer and has requested me to pick it up for him and deposit it into his account at the jail. well his employer will not release it to me or send it to my son at the jail. the employer is saying my son owes him 20.00 and is going to hold his check until he can get out and cash it and pay him. i have even told him i would pay it just send him the check but he will not.

what can i do to get him to send this check to my son or release it to me. i can get a signed letter from my son and can even get it notarized but the employer will not release it or send it. what are my options here.
