I hurt myself, by dropping a box on my foot, with the end result of a contusion to one of my toes.
This happened around 9:45pm about a week ago, at the time I assumed it was broken I informed my manager and showed him. A report was then filed around 10:10pm. I was instructed to wait for my ride home, to be taken to the hospital. I argued that my manager on duty should take me or have an ambulance take me. I then called a relative to come pick me up around 11:00pm as I just sat there with no one attending me. I arrived at the hospital at 11:15 and left around 1:40 am. Is the company by law required to take me to the hospital when and injury occurs? Should I get paid for the time spent in the hospital?

I can answer part of your question only. The following is one of the federal regulations.

29 CFR 785.43 - Medical attention.
Time spent by an employee in waiting for and receiving medical attention on the premises or at the direction of the employer during the employee's normal working hours on days when he is working constitutes hours worked.
