Hello all!

The background on this story is as followed:
I paid $1600 deposit upon move-in. I cleaned everything spotless and got the carpet shampooed professionally. 30 days after I turned in my keys- they sent me a deposit transmittal stating I owed $1745 total therefore I needed to pay them $145 or be sent to collections. I immediately disputed and they sent me the inspection report. Most of the items that were on the report were on my initial walk-through sheet and not my liability. When I explained this to them, they dropped down my liability to $1030. I was still not happy with this and disputed further. They were charging me for carpet cleaning, cleaning fees, and to replace light bulbs, filters, and batteries for the smoke detector. I had asked them to provide me with receipts and today they provided me with estimates from over a month ago. I called every vendor and none of the work has been done. My property manager is stating that I am responsible for carpet cleaning b/c I didn't provide proof upon my move-out. I had provided the receipt over a week ago and the estimate is dated for yesterday yet they are still attempting to charge me.

So- my questions are as followed:

1. Are light bulbs & batteries considered normal wear and tear? (they are charging me $100 for this)

2. Are they required to provide me with receipts or are the estimates just as good (even though work has not been done).

3. If I request a copy of my lease, by law- are they required to give this to me?

4. I know Nevada law states that I can sue for double my deposit if they do not give me a detail within 30 days. Since they haven't accurately provided a detail of my liability- what can I sue for?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance
