I recently moved from Texas to Northwest Indiana and I am renting a house. If you haven't heard, we hve had pretty bad flooding here and my house was right in the middle of it. I have renters insurance, but not flood insurance. My question is, if the owner of the house did not disclose to me the property was in a flood zone, can I take legal action against them to pay for my damaged property?

That was highly unusual weather. Floods occurred where floods never occurred before. FEMA is handling disaster damages there.
