I'm coming up on three years employment at my current employer and I will have 6 days worth of vacation time (our shifts are 24 hours and this comes out to 144 hrs of straight time pay) coming up in 2 days.

I've been offered a better wage at another company and I'm sure that I want to leave for a multitude of reasons.

I've been told by several people that Michigan state law requires any accumulated paid vacation is supposed to be paid out upon the employee parting ways with the employer. can anyone shed some light on the veracity of this? if there are website links that would prove this to be true or false it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Michigan has no law that requires employers to pay earned unused vacation at termination of employment. Sorry. (though the employer can do so if they wish)
