In Pennsylvania:
Signed a lease application which required a deposit of one month rent (900+) and a fee for a credit check (35).
I failed the credit check so they recommended I have my father co-sign. The co-sign in reality was a new application with a new credit check. That application was approved.
I decided not to take the apartment. They say the deposits are non-refundable except in the event of a failed credit report. (I am looking for the application I signed and will post whether that was stated when I find it).
Since I did indeed fail the credit check, do I have a leg to stand on to try to claim it back?
Thanks guys!
