I Have A Daughter Who Works In A National Chain Hair Salon. She Is Considered Part Time.she Sometimes Works 9 Hour Days And Is Told She Can Not Have A Break And Can Not Take Lunch.she Is Told They Are Too Busy For Restroom Breaks.are There Any Laws Being Broken By This Company?who Do You Contact To Get This Type Of Business Behavior To Stop Without My Daughter Loosing Her Job?p.s. This Chain Does Pay A Minimum Hourly Wage.

The only exception is that, under OSHA, employees must be given "reasonable time" to use the restroom facilities. That's about it. Sorry, that's probably not the answer you wanted to hear.

I'm not sure what being poor has to do with the state not legislating meal periods and rest breaks for adult workers, but I do agree that everyone who is eligible should vote.:)
