Can anyone tell me if it is legal to tape record conversations in the workplace?
Does the other party have to be informed of the taping as I believe to be the case in a phone call?

Keep in mind that even in those states that permit a recording without all parties being aware of it, the employer does not have to agree and can fire you for taping without authorization.
