I am an electrician and I drive a company truck. Everyday I drive to the shop and pickup/load the truck in time to arrive at the job site at 7:00 am. I then work my 8hrs and then I drive the truck back to the shop. My employer only pays me 1 hr a day of straight time. The drive time varies from day to day,But is usually about 2.5 hrs a day beyond my 8hr work day. When I told my employer that i wanted to get paid for all the hours i work he refused and he told me if I dont bring the truck then dont show up. Am i entitled to recieve pay for these hours.

If you are required to go to the shop first and return there at the end of the day, then all driving time from the shop to job site to next job site and return to the shop is compensable. The fact that you drive the company truck home is irrelevant. Although I'm wondering why they don't just keep the truck at the shop (unless you are subject to being called back to work for emergency calls).
