I have been working with this company for just under a year and have put in my two weeks notice. My question is will I get vacation compensation pay when i leave? It states in one of our employment handbook that you need to work for a year in order to receive 2 weeks paid vacation. While i have been working here my check stubs have shown me how many vacation hours I have accumulated each pay period with a total.
I guess my bottom line question is, Do you get vacation compensation for putting in 2 weeks notice at a part time job when your check stubs show you accumulating vacation time. Or is this really just up to the employer and I need to ask an HR rep?
PS. Someone that has worked here for about 15 years said that yes I do get vacation pay when I leave.
Thanks in advance.
