Is there a michigan state law governing Short Turn shifts. Say you work on a Saturday from 130pm-11pm. Then you work Sunday 5am-130pm. The time between shifts is under 7 hours. I know union's are good about that, and our union actually has overtime for those shifts, i'm being told since we're not part of the union it doesn't apply, even though it was in our payroll books until they updated it this year. I was told that I qualified four or five times, then HR said that I dont' because its not an applicable item.

Blah, so long story short, any Michigan labor laws apply?

There is no law in Michigan limiting the hours worked, requiring extra pay for short turns, etc.

Since you are not a member of the union, the provisions therein would not apply to you.
