I work for a property management company that manages 500 units at a site. The company I currently work for is not renewing it's contract with the property. A new management company is taking over the site and has agreed to keep the current staff.
We will be considered new hires, with a probationary period of 90 days. We were presented in an all employee meeting with a four page employee benefits document.
My question is this. The document has no information indicating the identification of the new employer or who to contact if an employee has an issue. Is the a valid document?
Thanks

There is no way for us to tell without seeing it. Show it to a local attorney.

When new management companies take over a contract it is the same as being hired by a new employer. What the new policies are depend on the practices of the new employer. If they have a 90 probationary period it is possible that as a new employee you may be subject to that policy. You will need to see their employee handbook. Some contract negotiations are confidential until a particular close date which is why you may not know who the new employer is yet. Once it is announced you should ask for a copy of the handbook.

As far as the document goes if you have questions about its validy you should seek advice of an attorney.
