When all of our employees were hired the employer supplied shirts but not pants. We were told to wear either black or khaki pants or shorts. Now the manager is telling us to go to a certain store and purchase similar pants so we all look the same, on our dime. Is this legal to do after we have already been hired? None of our employees have been here less than 8 months.

There is nothing in the law that prohibits an employer from changing the dress code after an employee is hired.

Is this legal to do after we have already been hired? Yup. If it were illegal for an employer to change any conditions of employment once an employee was hired, you'd never get a pay raise.
