My husband works for a staffing agency and has been on the same assignment for 6 years. He is a laborer in a warehouse for a well known company. He was told that he must work the schedule 15 days straight with no day off. At the end of the 15 days he gets 2 days off and is required to be on call and sometimes gets called out in the middle of the night. Is he subject to the same policy as a full time employee regarding being on call and being required to work 2 week with no day off. All he really wants is one day off a week

I am in agreement that this is an equitable request. However, with the exception of a very few types of employees such as airline pilots and minor children employees, this is not an actual legal requirement. There are only two states (neither of which is TX) with weak general requirements in this area, and what you describe is legal even in those states.
