I work for a newspaper and was informed by my boss that because we are in media that they are not required to give us breaks for the time we have worked. They have been consistantly giving us breaks for the 2 months I have worked there and now all of the sudden they probably are going to stop giving them all together. I want to know if they can do this and if they can't i want to be able to find documentation to show them that they are in violation of the law

Are you talking about rest breaks or a meal and a rest break?
What type of work do you do and how many hours a day do you work? I don't see any exceptions for the "media" industry.

This was just updated on 1/08. If I'm reading it properly the media wouldn't fall into one of the 4 categories listed at the top.
