OK. I was fired in Arkansas and have about 1 week of sick time and vacation time banked/accured.

Does my employer have to pay it? I understood I had already earned it, so they have to pay.

If they do have to pay, where can I find the documentation?

The employee handbook says that they don't pay accured vacation if the employee was fired, but I think they are just trying to cheat us.

No state requires employers to pay employees for unused sick leave when employees are terminated.

About half the states require employers to pay employees for unused vacation pay when employees are terminated. Arkansas, however, is not one of them.
