I Was In The City Of East Orange N.j. I Was Arrest For Aggravated Assault, A Guy Claimed That I Drew A Gun On Him. It Was Found To Be Untrue, I Went To Court And The Judge Found That It Was No Reason For Me To Have Been Arrested. Maybe A Week Later I Broke My Leg Playing Basketball, which I Had To Have An Operation Done On June 6th, 2006.at That Time After The Operation I Was Issued Medication That Instructed Me Not To "drive Or Do Anything That Needs Mental Alertness.
The Adiminstrative Investigation Still Went On With My Police Department(newark, New Jersey). On The June 22nd,2006, A Supervisor From The Newark Police Departments Office Of Internal Affairs, Without Any Notice, Called My Home And Explained To Me That He Need To Get A Statement From Me And To Come To The Office. I Explained To The Supervisor That I Could Not Come Because Of The Injury That I Had Suffered To My Leg. The Supervisor Told Me He Was Coming To My House In Half An Hour, Prior To The Supervisor Calling I Took The Medication For The Pain. During The Statement I Began To Feel Very Tired, I Did'nt Really Understand Most Of The Questions That Was Asked Due To Me Taking The Medications.
After Returning To Work On December 7th,2006, I Had Received Department Charges In The Mail Box At Home And At Work For "false Statements". The Following Year January 22nd,2007 I Was Terminated From The Police Department. The Office Of Internal Affairs Has A Medical Service Branch, With Being Said They Have All Of My Medical Files Including The Type Of Medication That I Was Taking. When Going To My Union Lawyers Office I Listened To That Statement For Thet First Time, And Yes That Was My Voice On The Tape.
My Case Had Started In The Last Year At The New Jersey Office Of Administrative Law. It Was Found That In The New Jersey's Attorney General Guildlines That, Administrative Statements Is Suppose To Be Taken At The Office Of Internal Affiars Unless It Of An Criminal Nature.the Last Date Of This Trail Was Febuary 29th,2008 I Have Not Received A Ruling On The Case Yet.should I Have Been Terminated?
