Trying to help my wife with her recent unemployent denial. This is all new to us. She filed for unemployment a few weeks ago. Now she has received a letter saying she is disqualified due to claims by her ex employer. We would like to appeal. Is there a proper form to fill out and send in or e-mail or is it better to call the ESC directly? Thanks in advance.
The letter she received denying her claim should include information on how to appeal. There is usually a very short time frame to appeal, so if you cannot find the instructions do not waste time e-mailing, pick up the phone and call first thing Monday morning.
BTW, you do not call. Your wife does.

Thank you for the reply.
She got the "how to" and "where to" but don't know "what to" submit. Is there a form she can fill out and e-mail?
NO. You do not want to do this by e-mail.
If she can't figure out by what she was sent, what she needs to do, she needs to CALL THEM. FAST. If they have something she can e-mail they will tell her. But you usually have a VERY short time to appeal - you do NOT WANT to fudge around looking for forms to e-mail. Just have her get on the phone tomorrow morning at 9.
