Do employees have any rights to copy or at least view documents in their personnel folders with their signatures on them?

Thanks in advance.

Only if the employer opts to give you that right. The state of NC does not require employers to allow employees access to their personnel files or copies of anything contained in it; it leaves the decision of whether to allow access and if so, to what degree, up to the employer.

I'm assuming you're a private sector employee. Public sector employees (state, county, municipal) do have a statutory right to inspect their personnel files in NC.

I am not a federal, state or local employee, nor do I work in the healthcare industry. I do, however, work on a federal contract. I'm not sure if there are any provisions relating to SCA that would have any bearing.

Thanks,

Todd
