Which court?
What are the charges?

Regular court, with lawyers or attorneys, the judge, where you sit next to the judge and tell what happened and get questioned.

the charge is 1 count of animal cruelty

You need to rewrite the question; it disappeared when you edited your first post. You can edit the first post and put the question back in or restate the question as a response to this post.

I asked when I go to regular court later this month for 1 count of Animal Cruelty will I go there, do the court stuff and be sentenced in 1 day or will I go there, do something, be told to come another day, do something else, be told to come yet another day, do yet something else before I am sentenced?

You may want to post a question at this link. It seems to specifically address animal cruelty.

I have been doing a little research on animal cruelty in Minnesota. I would advise you to talk to an attorney before your court date.
Are they charging you with a felony?

I am not sure, under charges it says

Count:1
Charge: Animal Cruelty
In Violation of: 343.21 Subd. 2, Subd 9 (d)

for subd 9 (d) it says...anyone who intentionaly violates subdivision 1-7 and it ends in death ect, I know the courts won't care but what I did was not intentional, I mean I did'nt wake up that morning thinking "I'm gona kill my cat today", it was a stupid split second, very wrong, decision I made at that moment when I thought about him possibly harming my girls.

I have 3 other cats that the cops could see are healthy and have food and water that they have not taken away.

[QUOTE=TM1;960808]Do you have a lawyer or a public defender?

no, I can't afford a lawyer, the court will have to choose someone.
