Employee did not take full LOA when her child was born. After returning back to work for two months she is requesting to take an additional week of LOA. Just making sure this is OK for her to do prior to approving the request for time off.

The law is never going to tell you, you CANNOT offer someone leave. If it week of leave is okay with you, go for it.

It's according to what type of leave it is whether it would be job protected leave & whether you "have" to allow it. However; if it's ok with your employer, you can always offer add'l. leave.
