I was terminated and paid severance but did not receive payment for unused vacation time. The employers Policies and Procedures manual states that they will pay. They are claiming that the severance is all that I will get. Is severance related to owed time? There was no written severance agreement.:confused:

You can always file a claim with the state Dept. of Labor for the vacation pay. New Jersey law does not unconditionally require payment of accrued vacation at termination, but is a "follow your policy" state. At least it will make the employer answer.
