I work in New Jersey. My grandfather passed away and I have to travel about 5 hours away to attend his funeral. Does New Jersey law entitle me to any bereavement time?

No state requires an employer to provide bereavement time. Unless you have a bona fide contract or CBA that specifically says otherwise, whether bereavement time is available at all and if so, for what relatives, is entirely up to the employer.
