Unsure and need confirmation...I will be taking only a few weeks of after the birth of our child in July. I do not qualify for FMLA at the time of my delivery since I just started this position at 4 months pregnant. My husband on the other hand works for a company with more then 50 employees, has been there a yr, and worked more then 1250 hrs. We do not work for the same company. We would like for him to take leave to care for the newborn after I return to work. Would this be a qualifying event for him? Isn't it up to a year after the birth of a child, to care for a child, a qualifying event? Woudl he be elegible for the full 12 weeks?

Thanks!
