I was working in NY for an MA based company who is holding my H1B visa. I was forced to go on maternity leave as my employer does not had project for me. Now when my baby is 3 months, he is still not able to find work for me. What will be my status of visa after my maternity leave and what is the maximum length of maternity leave I can take?:confused:

The maximum amount of time you can take for maternity leave is the maximum amount your employer will allow. IF your employer (and you) qualify for FMLA, they must allow at least 12 weeks. However, no law in any state sets a maximum amount of time that your employer must not exceed.
