Hello,
My wife is 5 months pregnant and is employed full-time (40hrs/week) as an x-ray tech at the office of an orthopaedic surgeon. We see her OB doctor once every four weeks currently. She was recently denied her time off request for a scheduled OB appointment. Is there any Florida legislation that protects a pregnant worker from being denied time off for OB appointments?
I'm not sure if company size is an issue, but if so, the company consists of approximately 40 employees at three different locations.
Thanks,
A concerned husband
