I need to know if it is illegal for an employee to take someone else's time card? I had this happen to me recently and my boss didn't seem to be affected by this, but I believe if I would have done this to someone else I would have been fired. The person that took my time card is trying to catch me doing something wrong by giving my time card to a "tattle tale" on day shift so she can go to the boss and try to get me fired or whatever. What if anything can I do to the person who took my card or to my work for not doing anything about it?
Thanks
Wess

As long as you get paid for all the time that you worked, this is not a matter addressed by law. What, if anything, you can do about it depends entirely on company policy.
