I was employed a t a company for three years and recently let go becuase of failure to meet my sales gaol. In a letter from my boss prior to termination it was agreed that I would receive compensation for all of the deals that closed prior to Jan 1,my supposed termination date. I put through a number of deals and worked right up until January 3, when I was terminated. I received a termination letter outlining the details of my termination which indicated that I would be paid for all business that was submitted by December 31st and closed by January 31, 2008. It was also in the letter that one of the terms of my termination was that the company would forgive any draw owed. Now personel is telling me that the letter is wrong and they are paying me nothing. Is a termination letter from an empoler binding in any way ?
