We have custody of our grandson, awarded by GA Juvenile court system. We received custody in Feb 2005 and he has resided with us in Ohio since then. His mother lives in Ohio but moves frequently and I don't have a current address. His father(our son) just moved out of GA and is looking for a place to live in IN, so no address at this time for him. I do have current cell phone numbers for both and can probably get an address for the mother, and our son should soon have an address but he does use our address for some mail.

I'm thinking I need to register the custody order in our county of residence so if either parent wants to modify the custody order then it will be handled locally. Does this sound like what I want to do? Are there forms on-line that show how to prepare this petition? Do the parents need to be informed since my husband & I have full legal & physical custody? What I mean is, they will be informed, but do they need to be included on the petition and served notice officially?

Are my questions too complicated, or are they not making sense? Or am I being ignored for some reason?
