hey one question, if a person is ordered to pay child support and has never paid and is already $1000.00 behind, from a 4 month old case, and they get put on disability, will CSE step in and take any of that money for not paying child support and give it to the custodial parent. We got a letter in the mail from CSE stating they were gonna take her taxes, or anything else they can take out of, but she doesnt have a job nor does she have anything that they he can take from. Thanks

SSDI can be garnished, but SSI cannot. It doesn't sound like "A" has worked enough to have enough credits for SSDI, so if she does get SS benefits it'll likely be SSI.
The good point is that it can take many years to be approved for disability and drug addiction is NOT a disability by SSA standards.
What is "A"s claim of disability?
