A friend and I rented a HUD owned appartment with the understanding that she would put herself on the lease. We moved in in August and she still hasn't put herself on the lease. The landlord has told her that she needs to vacate the property, but she won't. He says that his hands are tied and I have to give her a proper leave notice. What are the laws regarding that? She pays the rent to me and her half of the utilities. Or she did up untill last month. I've been paying both halves. Any suggestions?
