cell323 12-08-2007, 11:15 PM Hello Everyone, Are Employment Agencies suppose to pay you the Christmas holiday? cbg 12-09-2007, 12:35 AM Only if you have a contract that says they do. It is not required by law. Pattymd 12-09-2007, 01:23 AM Just as an aside, many of the larger staffing agencies will pay certain holidays if you have met their criteria, which is normally having worked a certain number of billable hours. I'm working through such an agency right now, but I would have to have worked 1,000 hours with them to get Christmas Day paid; I've worked 40. :( cbg 12-09-2007, 01:48 AM But that is a matter of company policy. The law does not require it. cell323 12-09-2007, 12:27 PM thank you everyone! my mind is at peace now |
