I work for a company as a service technician... I drive a minimum of 1-3 hours to and from the workplace! I drive a company vehicle and store the vehicle and inventory at my home!!! My company says that my time clock starts when I arrive on a job and ends 30 minutes before I get home? I say my time clock starts when i set foot in their vehicle and ends when I get home and out of their vehicle... who is right here? Im not sure what I am legally entitled to here?
Maybe you, although this can be detail specific. Take a look at the following opinion letter issued by the CA-DLSE and see how closely it matches your situation.

All I got from this letter is that because I haul goods or equipment to and from the workplace that my drive time is compensable... but not how much of my time... i do not nor have i ever had a specific "job site" as far as a place to report to.... I live and work 8 hours away from my office and never travel that far for work, so there is no circumstance for a normal travel time so as far as im concerned they should be paying me for every second i am in their vehicle on my way to and from the jobsites!!!

I would think all of it is compensable.
Maybe, although at the end of the day the only opinion that matters is that of CA-DLSE. I know what the general rules are (discussed in the CA-DLSE Enforcement Manual) but the OP's exact situation is not specifically discussed. This opinion letter is as close as I can find. At some point, the OP is going to have to contact CA-DLSE directly.
