Before lst year, our company had a use it or loose it policy for unused PTO. They have become aware that is is not allowed, so now if you have any unused PTO, they are going to pay everyone off, but at minimum wage. We are all professionals and our pay range is $20-30 per hour.
Are they allow ed pay us off at minimum wage?

Probably not. The following opinion letter is sort of on point and the title that CA-DLSE uses to reference it (Vacation: Cash out at lesser rates prohibited seems to be very on point. If all else fails, file a wage claim with CA-DLSE.
